Accessibility Statement
Our commitment to WCAG 2.2 AA, the measures we've taken, what's still in progress, and how to report a barrier.
- § 01
Our commitment
Alpheri is committed to making its Service usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technologies such as screen readers, screen magnifiers, voice-input, and keyboard-only navigation.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA — the standard most widely referenced by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and comparable state laws.
- § 02
Conformance status
The WCAG defines requirements at three levels: A, AA, and AAA. Alpheri is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 Level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the Service do not yet fully meet the standard; the specific areas we are still working on are listed under “Known limitations” below.
- § 03
Measures we have taken
Accessibility is built into how the Service is designed and tested. Concretely:
- Every page uses semantic landmark regions (banner, navigation, main content, and footer) so assistive technology can describe and navigate the structure.
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first item reachable by keyboard, letting keyboard and screen-reader users bypass the navigation.
- The Service is operable by keyboard alone, and the browser's focus indicator is preserved so the focused control is visible.
- Dialogs (question, grading, billing-confirmation, and account-deletion) move focus into the dialog when opened, keep keyboard focus within it while open, close on the Escape key, and return focus to the control that opened them.
- Form fields, including the sign-in and sign-up forms, have programmatically associated labels and expose autocomplete hints.
- The Service honors your operating system's “reduce motion” preference, stopping non-essential animation such as the market-data ticker.
- The page language is declared, and authentication does not rely on a cognitive test — password managers, autofill, and pasting are supported.
- § 04
Known limitations
We are actively working to remediate the following. Where possible we note the current behavior so you can plan around it:
- Focus indicator: the focused control is shown using the browser's default outline. A higher-contrast, branded focus style is in progress.
- Contrast: primary body text and interactive labels meet the 4.5:1 minimum, but some small decorative captions and accent glyphs do not yet. Improving these is in progress.
- Target size: a few compact controls may fall below the 24×24px target-size guideline.
- Status messages: some dynamic updates — for example, when an AI grade finishes — are not yet announced automatically to screen readers.
- Decorative graphics: decorative icons, ornaments, and illustrative charts are hidden from assistive technology; a manual screen-reader verification pass is scheduled before launch.
- Third-party experiences: embedded provider screens (such as the Stripe billing portal) follow their own providers' accessibility practices, which we do not control.
- § 05
Feedback and how to report a barrier
We welcome your feedback on the accessibility of Alpheri. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us — it helps us prioritize fixes.
Email support@alpheri.com with “Accessibility” in the subject line. Where you can, include the page address (URL), a short description of the problem, and the browser and assistive technology you were using. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within 5 business days.
- § 06
Assessment method
Alpheri assessed the accessibility of the Service by self-evaluation. We use a combination of automated end-to-end browser tests — covering keyboard navigation, focus management, landmark structure, and form labelling — and manual keyboard and screen-reader review, measured against WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
